  1. They can study the physics of it and how they perform the function, so the robot doesn't get stuck in outer space, or somewhere equally as hazardous.

  2. The study of the sidewinder rattle snake can help figure how to make robots in the sand move up an embankment so they wont get stuck in the sand.

  3. They trying to find out how the sidewinder snakes move, and then let the robots imitate this action, so the robots can move easily like the snack.

  4. It can help the development of robots by allowing them to move across sand better, and to not get stuck in the sand. Alex Haston

  6. they want the robots to be able to move easier and be able to go over any terrain so they can Incorporate it into robots

  7. They can study the biology of it and know the snake how can they move, fix the snake robot problem in the future , so the robot will not be stuck.

  8. They are trying to find a way to make robotic snakes move in a similar fashion so that they can put these robots on other planets or use them for search and rescue missions. Colin

  9. they could potentially make their robots move better on harder to move on terrains.

  10. They Study of sidewinder snakes moving , shimmy and use to make snake limbless robot , If it's can work , they will have more type or function of these kind of robot to be used by human . So it's development of robots.

  11. They can study the sidewinder's function, biology, and movement to determine how it can move through the sand without getting stuck, and incorporate this to other robots.

  12. They study the mechanics behind the snake's movement so they can attempt to duplicate the way it moves. This can help make robots that can climb dunes like the sidewinder.
